Communities

Joining a Community

Once you've found a community you'd like to become a member of, you can join directly from its community page.

Join a Community

Depending on the community's settings, you'll either become a member right away or submit a request to join.

  • Public Community: Membership requests are approved immediately

  • Private community: Membership requests require approval from community leader

Public Communities

If the community allows women to join immediately, you'll become a member as soon as you click on join community.

Private Communities

Private communities requires approval from a community leader in order for you to become a member. For these communities the join button will automatically send your request to the leader and you will see that your request is pending.

While your request is pending, you can check its status by navigating back to the community on the Discover page. You won't have access to member-only features until your request is approved.

If you change your mind, you can simply remove your pending request.

If your request is approved

Once a community leader approves your request, you'll become a member and gain access to the community's member features, including its events and spaces.

If you request is declined

If you request isn't approved, you won't become a member of the community.

Depending on the community's settings, you may be able to request to join again in the future.

After You Join

Once you're a member, the community will appear on your home page.

You can explore upcoming events, participate in spaces, connect with other members, and learn more about the community.

You can also belong to multiple communities on Evolve, giving you different places to connect and participate.
